All those outdoor activities you’ve been waiting for can now begin. The best part? Hignell Rentals has all the amenities you’ll need to make the summer season a memorable one. Looking for a place to cool off? All our complexes have a pool area. Want to play basketball, tennis, or volleyball? We have the courts for you. We even have fitness centers and clubhouses. All of these amenities are a blast to use every summer, especially when they stay nice and clean all summer long. Help keep Hignell Rentals amenities and the areas around them a place that allows everyone to enjoy them to their fullest potential! Here's some etiquette you should follow when using one of our recreation amenities this summer. ## Clubhouse Etiquette  Each of our complexes has an amazing clubhouse for our residents to use. From playing a game of pool or 8-ball to watching a movie or scheduled program with friends to renting the place out for an event. We want you and everyone else to see it as an open place to use. There are specific rules for the clubhouse that you can read about in [clubhouse rules](https://blog.hignellrentals.com/clubhouse-rules-at-your-chico-apartment-complex), but here are some etiquette basics you should practice: - Clean up after yourself - whether that means returning the pool items, wiping down the kitchen, throwing away all your trash, or putting things back where you found them. - Don’t be unnecessarily loud. - Don’t hog the T.V. for long back to back use – talk to your manager about renting the space if you're looking to do a movie marathon. - Don’t bring any alcohol into the clubhouse. ## Pool Area Etiquette It can get really hot in Chico, so having a pool within a short walk is a major benefit when living in Hignell Rentals. In order to keep the place at its best here are all the [pool rules](https://blog.hignellrentals.com/safety-reminder-pool-area-rules-at-your-apartment) along with some [common pool etiquette practices](https://blog.hignellrentals.com/etiquette-tips-for-apartment-living-with-pools) one should take when basking in the joy of hanging around the pool area. ## Fitness Center Etiquette No need to pay for a gym membership this summer because some of our apartment complexes have their very own fitness center. This way you can keep your exercise regimen up or get started on sculpting your summer bod. Follow these simple etiquette guidelines and not only will you be able to enjoy your gym time but so will everyone else. - Please use headphones to listen to your music – you may think you have [the best gym playlist](https://www.shape.com/fitness/workout-music/best-workout-songs-playlist) in the history of gym playlists, but others may beg to differ. Allow them the ability to listen, or not listen, to their own music without having to compete with yours. - Wipe your sweat off after using the equipment – it’s gross, don’t make other people clean it up. - If you use any of the weights in the fitness center, please put them back after using them. - Please wear appropriate attire – you know why. ## BBQ & Lawn Area Etiquette The nicer the weather the more people tend to use the [BBQ to cook](https://www.tasteofhome.com/collection/bbq-recipes/view-all/) meals instead of their oven in order to keep the apartment cool. After cooking on the BBQ why not take a blanket and have a picnic on our lawns! If you decide to do this, please keep in mind: - Make sure all your food and trash are picked up – this helps to keep the place looking clean as well as keeping the birds and bugs away. - It's a community BBQ, so please clean it off after use. ## Sport Courts Etiquette No matter which sport you're playing, be it volleyball, tennis, or basketball, be mindful of: - Other people waiting to play – if there are others waiting you don’t need to end your game quickly but don’t begin a new one. - Keep the courts clean. - If you're using the courts for any other reason and people show up to play a game, move off the courts if possible.  If you're looking for a Hignell Rentals apartment that has certain amenities over others make sure to check the DETAILS of the apartment complex and its amenities will be listed!
