Come get in the Christmas spirit with Downtown Chico as the community comes together to celebrate the season. Downtown will be filled with decorations, refreshments and entertainment, all brought to you by local businesses and organizations. It's a great time to be [living in Chico](https://blog.hignellrentals.com/tips-to-clean-your-chico-rental-for-holiday-get-togethers).  ## When and Where Will it Be? Christmas Preview takes place this Sunday, November 24th from 4 to 8 p.m. The event is held downtown at the plaza and on the surrounding streets. ## **What to Expect?** This event will have all of Downtown Chico covered head to toe with Christmas merriment. Expect the whole town to be filled with signs of the season. Here's an excerpt from the DCBA event page: *Since 1978, Christmas Preview has been a Downtown Chico tradition...drawing folks together in the heart of our community to officially kick off the holiday season!  Downtown merchants roll out the red carpet and present the finest in hometown hospitality, debuting their holiday offerings, showing off fabulous decorations, and providing delicious refreshments and entertainment. The DCBA coordinates strolling carolers, and a few other on-street events and activities and invites SANTA to come on down for photos with the kiddos! You have not experienced the holidays in Downtown Chico if you have not experienced Christmas Preview.* For just a few of the on-street highlights that will be happening this year, visit the official Downtown Chico Business Association website by clicking [here](https://www.downtownchico.com/event-christmas-preview_14.htm). ## **What Should You Bring?** It's starting to get chilly, so be sure to dress nice and warm! Don't worry though, there'll be vendors serving hot chocolate, among other things, so be sure to bring cash. You can also bring totes for any items you want to purchase and check off your Christmas list, it's a perfect gift shopping opportunity! After you've double checked you're all bundled up and have a few totes all you need to bring are your loved ones and the holiday spirit. ## **Ticket Information** Here's Chico's little gift to you: The event is free and open to everyone! No ticket purchase necessary.  Here at Hignell Rentals, we like to keep everybody informed about local Chico events because we want you to love this town as much as we do.
