Fall

Why it’s a good time to move: Moving in the autumn months certainly has its advantages. For starters, in most areas of the country, you simply can’t beat the incredible weather during the September through November months.

Why it’s not a good time to move: Have school-age children? You may have a difficult time moving during the fall.

Winter

Why it’s a good time to move: Moving during the winter months is considerably cheaper than moving during the warmer seasons.

Why it’s not a good time to move: It goes without saying that the cold, frigid temps of winter prevent many from moving during this season.

Spring

Why it’s a good time to move: While the end of May kicks off peak moving season, the months of March, April and early May experience much less demand.

Why it’s not a good time to move: Those with school-age children may finding moving during the spring months to be a challenge.

Summer

Why it’s a good time to move: Home-selling season peaks in the summer, which means it’s a good time to sell your home.

Why it’s not a good time to move: The main reason why many choose not to move in the summer is the high price tag.
