Fireworks, the one event that captures the attention of all ages. Independence Day consists of coming together as a community to watch the dark sky light up in magnificent colors.

FIREWORKS & FESTIVITIES IN CHICO
CARD Let Freedom Ring!
Celebrate America with a SPLASH at the newly upgraded Chapman Park! Cool off in the new splash pad, listen to live music by the Chico Community Band and local musicians Emma & Will, and enjoy free activities and traditional 4th of July foods like hot dogs and ice cream. Dress to get wet and enjoy the new park amenities!

CARD 4th of July Parade
Join the inaugural 4th of July Parade! This year's theme "America and The Freedom to Play" celebrating the community's commitment to outdoor spaces and recreation. Entries will be patriotic and family friendly, and will champion local parks, recreational spirit, greenery, nature, community gardening, environmental stewardship, and local heroes.

Silver Dollar Speedway - Post Race Freedom Fireworks
The tradition of fast cars and fireworks continues on Thursday, July 4th, at the Silver Dollar Speedway. Dirt track racing and the area’s best fireworks show are all wrapped up into one electrifying night for the entire family. Fans will be treated to grassroots racing on the quarter-mile high banked oval dirt track. Following the races, the sky will light up with big, beautiful, and bright fireworks as we come together as a community, and all celebrate America’s Independence.
If you aren't attending the races, there are still plenty of places to park and watch the fireworks. Popular parking spots that are good viewing areas and facing the fairgrounds are: Costco, Barnes & Noble, Walmart, Community Park, and Kohl's. Get there early to snag your spot!

Tackle Box Annual Family Fun 4th of July Party
Fun for the whole family, this year's attractions include dunk tank, kids pool, slip in slide, Vivid Creations waterproof tattoos, cotton candy, Kona Ice snow cones, barbecue special and inflatable obstacle course! No cover to attend. Please bring a change of clothes for kiddos and your lawn chairs -- after all the water fun you can pull up a chair up front and catch the firework show that follows the races!

FIREWORKS ARE ILLEGAL IN THE CITY OF CHICO
The City of Chico Fire Department Reminds the Public of Fireworks Ban
CHICO, CA – (June 27, 2024) – As the Fourth of July approaches, the City of Chico would like to remind residents and visitors that all fireworks, including Safe and Sane varieties, are illegal within city limits. This reminder is essential to ensure public safety and protect our community from the risks associated with fireworks.
Each year, fireworks pose significant threats to public safety and can result in fires, injuries, and
property damage. The Chico Fire Department emphasizes that the use, possession, and sale of all fireworks, including those labeled as Safe and Sane, are strictly prohibited.
There are a variety of Independence Day celebrations across Butte County for residents to enjoy.

FIREWORKS & FESTIVITIES IN REDDING
Redding's annual 4th of July Celebration and Fireworks show, The Freedom Festival, is back for another year at the Redding Civic Auditorium. This free show is one of the largest in California with over 1,700 shells produced by Pyro Spectacular. Food vendors will be on-site to provide drinks and snacks starting at 6 pm. Be sure to arrive between 6–9 pm, as the Sundial Bridge will be closed at 9 pm. The fireworks show is scheduled to start at 10 p.m. The soundtrack for the show will begin playing at 10 p.m. on Q97 - tune to 97.3FM.

Signarama Firecracker 5K
This 4th of July before you fire up the BBQ and watch the fireworks show, gather all your friends and family and celebrate America at the Signarama Firecracker 5K. This is a great way to celebrate our community, family and America. The fun starts at 8 a.m. with a Red, White and Blue opening ceremony featuring the Pledge of Allegiance and the Star Spangled Banner, followed by the timed 5K fun run/walk/stroll, full pancake breakfast, mimosa bard, and great music with Deejay/Mixer.

Fireworks at the Forebay
Enjoy the Fourth of July with Forebay fireworks. Join us for a family fun event to celebrate throughout the day and end with an amazing viewing area of the Forebay Fireworks Show.
- Where: Nelson Sports Complex, 2290 6th St., Oroville
- When: Thursday, July 4th
- Time: Fireworks start approx. 30 minutes after sunset. Find optimal viewing areas.

The Great American Ice Cream Social
Celebrate your freedom with pie, ice cream, beverages and a special raffle.
- Where: 1st Congregational Church, Bird and Oak Streets, Oroville

Oroville Community Bands - Fourth of July Across America
- Where: Oroville State Theatre
- When: Wednesday July 3 at 7 p.m. & Thursday, July 4th at 2 p.m.

FIREWORKS & FESTIVITIES IN RED BLUFF
The Tehama County Fireworks Committee in partnership with Red Bluff Noon Rotary & Red Bluff Elks will be hosting a fireworks show near Red Bluff River Park.
