The majority of our [Hignell Rentals properties](http://www.hignellrentals.com/rentals) have wonderful patios that our residents enjoy. Now is a great time to give our residents a quick reminder of those patio rules that are stated in your lease. 1. **Use outdoor furniture only**. So if you are thinking about putting your extra couch from your living room outside, think again. 2. **Awnings or other screens** are not allowed. 3. **Any item that can be seen over the patio fence** must be approved by resident manager. So if you can see it above your fence, give the complex office a call and ask if it’s ok to have it. 4. **Keep it neat and tidy**. This is a not a place to keep your filled garbage bags when you don’t want to go to the dumpster. 5. **Avoid clutter**. Please do not use the patio like a storage unit. This not only is an eyesore but could also be a fire hazard if you're blocking an exit. If you have more questions about rules regarding Hignell Rentals patios, give the complex manager a call.
