What most people don’t understand is that the best parties are the most creative ones, not the most expensive. So figure out how many people you can fit comfortably in your apartment and start planning your first 4th of July party in apartments in Chico California. ## Get permission It is always a good idea to call your apartment manager and ask what you can and cannot do. Do you want to have [sparklers or snaps](http://www.tntfireworks.com/safety) to give younger guests? How many people can you have at the pool? If you are planning to do anything questionable then it is important to **ask your manager**! You want to know all of the rules and be sure to follow them. Rules are made to keep you, your neighbors and everybody else in your complex safe. That is a good thing right? ## Invite People It's easy to find friends, family or neighbors that would like to join a 4th of July party, but how many should you invite? There should always be **enough seating for everybody** to sit at the same time but don’t cram seats into every inch of your apartment. Twenty people is probably unreasonable but 10 people might fit just right. You can call, text or even make invitations. Depending upon your crowd any one of these options would work. If you are inviting your mom, you can probably just call. If you are inviting a neighbor whose phone number you do not know but isn’t answering their door, creating an invite is a good idea. ## Plan This can take some time. Before you head out the door to shop, make sure you have a plan but also a list of supplies that you need. Browse [Pinterest](https://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=4th%20of%20july%20party&rs=typed&term_meta[]=4th%7Ctyped&term_meta[]=of%7Ctyped&term_meta[]=july%7Ctyped&term_meta[]=party%7Ctyped) and figure out what decorations, party favors, food and drinks you will be shopping for. Trying to keep with the 4th of July theme is how you plan a **successful party**. Your guests will be “oohing and awing” over how cute everything looks and thinking about all of the time it must have taken you to put it all together. ## Shop If you don’t have a lot of time, you can go to a party store like A&J Party Center to get all of the decorations you need that are already put together. But if you want to **try DIY and save some money**, then hit up the Dollar Store, thrift stores like the Arc Store, groceries stores and other department stores to help you save money. Stick with your list and you will be ready and set to get crafty! ## Prepare Now that you have the materials, it's time to make your decorations. Try to make as many decorations and do as much food preparation as you can **before the day of your party**. This will leave you more time to put up the decorations and to cook the food. Throwing a party can be stress-free but you have to set yourself up for success. ## Party Time It's easy to get sucked up into the hustle and bustle of juggling the cooking, refreshing drinks, and organizing games all while trying to entertain. **Remember to have fun** and enjoy your guests’ company! This holiday is meant to celebrate our country’s independence and spend time with family and friends. So have a good time!
