If you live in apartments in Chico or Redding you're in luck because there are many different ways that you can spend time with your family and friends on this special holiday. Here are a few tips to get you started! ## Egg Hunt We recommend using plastic eggs if you're having an Easter egg hunt inside your apartment. You can put candy, inexpensive rings, quarters and other fun knick-knacks inside that your little ones will love. When you're hiding the eggs, it's important to get creative with your hiding spots because you won’t have grass, trees and outdoor plants to hide them in. But you can hide them in blankets, inside the refrigerator, under rugs and more! Having an Easter egg hunt inside your apartment can actually be more fun than hiding them outside! ## Attend Local Events You'll find that there are many local events that can help you celebrate Easter. Below are a few events that are open to the public that you and your family can attend. [Spring Jamboree](https://www.chicorec.com/2019-04-20-spring-jamboree) - Held at Bidwell Park in Chico on Saturday April 20th starting at 10 am. Join for an egg hunt, bounce house and more. [Spring Celebrating and Egg Hunt](https://pcpark.org/event/2019-spring-celebration-and-egg-hunt/) - Held at Palo Cedro Community Park near Redding on Saturday, April 20th at 10 a.m. ### **Pictures with the Easter Bunny** Held at the [Chico Mall](https://www.chicomall.com/event/Easter-Bunny-Photos-and-Visits/2145524835/) on Saturday, April 20th from 10.am. to 8 p.m. Held at the [Mount Shasta Mall](http://www.mtshastamall.com/sales-events/easter-bunny-pictures) in Redding on Saturday, April 20th from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, April from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. ## Have Guests Over If you can’t find an event that you're interested in attending or maybe it doesn’t work with your time schedule, plan something yourself. You can have a few guests over, [prepare a nice brunch](https://www.delish.com/holiday-recipes/easter/g1399/brunch-casseroles-recipes/), plan an egg hunt and spend quality time with your friends and family at your own time and pace. Residents who live in apartments in Chico or Redding can still entertain, you just have to get a little creative and plan ahead of time. ## Attend Church service There are several different churches in Chico, Redding and the surrounding areas of Northern California that not only give beautiful services but also provide egg hunts, breakfasts and more. Below are a few local churches that you can look into for special events or services they are organizing to celebrate Easter Sunday. ### **Chico Churches:** - [Neighborhood Church of Chico](http://www.ncchico.org/) - [Grace Community Church](http://www.gracechico.org/) - [Calvary Chapel Chico](http://ccchico.com/) - [St John the Baptist Catholic Church](http://stjohnthebaptistchico.org/) - [Chico Community Church](https://chicocommunity.church/) ### **Redding Churches:** - [Neighborhood Church of Redding](https://www.neighborhood.cc/) - [Bethel Redding](http://www.bethelredding.com/) - [All Saints' Episcopal Church](http://www.episcopalchurchredding.org/) - [The Stirring](http://thestirring.org/) - [Risen King Community Church](http://www.risenking.org/) #### Happy Easter from the Hignell Rentals Team!
