Here are 6 reasons why you don’t want to miss Thursday Night Market:

1.  Fresh Produce

It’s great to have access to farm fresh produce on Saturday mornings, but it’s even better to have the chance a second time during the week. You can also feel good because you’re supporting local farmers. Certified growers offer the freshest assortment of fruits and vegetables, bouquets of fresh cut flowers, nuts, jams and spreads, honey, plant starts, and so much more.

2.  Fun Vendors

The market also hosts more than 100 popular vendors offering a wide variety of products and services. There are many artistic individuals living in Chico, and you can find them offering their talents to market goers. At Thursday Night Market You’ll find everything from tye-dyed clothing and handmade jewelry, to original paintings and freshly baked fudge.

3.  Delicious Food

Speaking of fudge, Thursday Night Market has expanded its food court. In addition to the scrumptious food offerings you already find (like Smokin’ Mo’s BBQ and Woodstock’s Pizza) the popularity of Food Trucks has caused the Market to make room for them too. Be sure to check them out before you decide what’s for dinner.

4.  Awesome Entertainment

The line-up this season will have you swayin’, singin’,  jumpin’, dancin’, rockin’, rollin’, oohin’ and awein’. The market truly has something for everyone!

Each week there's entertainment ranging from Hula dancers to balloon artists, emerging local singer/songwriters to classic jazz musicians and blues bands. The whole family will enjoy an evening at the market - with the designated KID ZONE in City Plaza and the many themed events as part of the City Plaza Nights event series.

5.  Support Local

The purpose of Thursday Night Market is twofold. One, to provide a fun and inviting atmosphere for everyone living in Chico; and two, to bring business downtown. Chico is home to some great local shops who value Chicoans and appreciate local support. Be sure to stop in a local business or two to look around and just say hi. Downtown shops and restuartants stay open later on Thursdays and are ready to serve.

6.  Fun for the Whole Family

Families especially love living in Chico because of events like Thursday Night Market. It’s an inexpensive way to have an enjoyable family outing that will please every member of the family. Kids can be loud and get their energy out running around the plaza. Dad can get his fill of food. Mom can get some shopping done. And everyone can enjoy a frozen yogurt from Jon & Bon’s, a Chico favorite.

We'll see you downtown!
