What better way to celebrate the little victories than by making more of them?
We have complied a list of ten different ways that you can create space within your Hignell Rentals apartment. Each one will help you gain back much needed space. All of them are fairly easy to DIY or buy.
Spices are the things that, well, spice up our food! Sadly though, spices can take up a lot of room whether they're in a cabinet or in a drawer. These circular magnetic containers can be placed on the side or front of your fridge, allowing you to use those drawers or cabinets for other more important things. Voilà! Space has been created!
Depending on the layout of your sink and counter space in your Chico apartment, there could be no room for all your dish cleaning supplies. This handy shelf sits slightly higher than your faucet so you can easily place all the essentials on it! Making it not only space friendly, but also a trendy touch.
Again, space around the sink may be limited. Therefore, this will eliminate the hassle of finding a place to dry your dishes! It's designed to rest on the top and bottom part of your sink and roll right across, letting your dishes dry over the sink. Once they are dry, you can roll it up and put it away.
Tall and deep cabinets are a blessing you may not have. Adding these simple cabinet shelves will double the space you have and enhance the organization of your smaller spaces. Cabinet shelves allow you to organize, store, and tidy up kitchenware and any other items you need to put away.
A rolling cart can be used to organize practically anything. You could put desk supplies on it, store your glassware, place all the bathroom supplies on it, etc. No matter how you use it, it will create space by giving you the ability to build up, or down!
Folding is not everyone’s forte, but you could save space within your drawers if you divide up the space. There are all different kinds and sizes of drawer organizers from big ones to small ones. Pick whichever one works best for you!
Baskets are best for holding all the little things around your apartment that you don’t know what to do with. Baskets are a clutter's worst nightmare! They can easily fit under beds, at the top of closets, or above the toilet. They are a great way to consolidate those items that don’t yet have a “set” place.
Don’t have counter space in the bathroom? No longer a problem with this mason jar inspired organizer! The jars are simply mounted to a piece of wood and can be attached to the wall in your bathroom (with command strips, see #10). It can hold everything from toothbrushes and toothpaste to makeup essentials. This trendy idea can be a fun Sunday afternoon DIY, or if you are short on time, you can purchase one.
One word. Multipurpose. These can be single or multiple column storage solver. They can hold anything from books, kitchenware, clothes, etc. You can even flip the single columns over and add a padded cushion, making it both a bench and a place to store things.
If you were to choose just one of these small storage victories, PLEASE, choose this one. Walls are the single most overlooked place to create storage and save floor space in your Chico apartment! The catch is that almost all apartments have rules against putting holes in the walls and often charge significant fees upon move out. The solution? Easy, the world of command strips! Enter it, and you will thank us for changing your life forever.
Getting extra square footage may be expensive, but that doesn’t mean that creating space should be. We hope these ten steps lead you to many more victory dances around your newly spacious Chico apartment. Now, go organize!
