Do you need a few ideas for date nights or simply have a need to be a part of your community? Luckily for you because you are living in Chico there are several local events that you get to choose from! Here are just a few to start looking at.
January Block Party with a Purpose
Want to start your year off with helping your community? Then join a hopeful group of volunteers who gather every month to clean the Lindo Channel. By participating in this event, you not only help Chico water stay clean, you also get free coffee from Beatniks Coffeehouse and sandwiches from The Beach Hut Deli. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration
If you're interested in celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. and everything that he did to improve communities across the country, then join the rally that begins at the Chico City Plaza and ends at the Trinity United Methodist Church with a shared community dinner. Frost or Fog 10-mile, Quarter Marathon and 5k
If you're interested in participating in a run here in Chico, then check out the annual Frost or Fog that is oh so popular. This event is January 21st from 7:30 am to 11:30 am, and make sure you dress for cold weather. They don’t call it Frost or Fog for nothing!
