When To Move To Different Apartments in Chico or Redding California

Written by Hignell Rentals Team | October 2, 2018

Do you feel like you could be happier in your apartment? There is always the chance that you moved to a complex that just doesn’t feel like home even though you've done everything you can to settle into your apartment.

Moving to different apartments in Chico or Redding California is an expensive endeavor so how do you know when it’s time to move?

Need More or Less Space

A great reason to move to a different apartment is if you need a change when it comes to space. If you feel like everything you do to clean and de-clutter still ends with your apartment feeling cramped, then you need more space. On the other end of the spectrum, if you seem to always have an abundance of extra space, then it might be a good idea to downsize to help save money.

Want to Upgrade

Did you get that new fancy job that pays well and you realize that you want to live in an apartment that has more amenities or those nice granite counter tops? Having the need to upgrade is another common reason why people move to different apartments in Chico or Redding California. It's normal for us to want nice things in our home!

Can’t Afford Rent

If your monthly paycheck has been cut or maybe rent at your complex has increased and you can’t afford your current rent any longer, then it's logical for you to move. Make a monthly budget to ensure that you can’t afford the rent before you spend more money on moving unnecessarily.

You may want to think about moving into an apartment that you share with a roommate!

Improve Your Commute to Work

Are you realizing that your drive to work could be more ideal? Or what if you don’t have a vehicle and you either walk or ride your bike to work? This may seem like a poor reason to move, but if it gives you anxiety or unneeded stress then moving might be a solution. Who wants to start and end their day with guaranteed stress? Not us, and most likely not you.

Manager Isn’t Helpful

If you have a problem with your unit or even the complex and you bring it to the attention of your manager but it seems to never get fixed or get better, then it might be time for you to move. The office staff at your apartment complex should always be receptive and helpful to give you the best experience possible.

Something Has Become Intolerable

There can be a list of things that have become intolerable that would make you want to move. Whether it be the color of the carpet, or the sound of the traffic that you can hear through your windows, sometimes the little things can add up and can be a cause to move.

So start by making a list of things that you aren’t so fond of about your apartment and start searching different apartments in Chico or Redding California to see if there are other options within your price range that you think will satisfy your need to find an apartment that feels like home. Good luck!
