Dogs are known for their need to have a schedule and routine to help keep them calm and less stressed. When you move to your new apartment, you need to start a new schedule for your dog that includes: feeding, going to the bathroom, exercise and playtime. This will help your dog feel safe and secure while getting use to their new home.

Your dog needs to know when to expect you'll be taking them for a walk to use the restroom and get exercise. Of course taking them for surprise additional walks in a day is great but there has to be consistency. Adult dogs need to be able to relieve themselves 3 to 5 times a day. If you're at work and can only take them for a walk once before work and again after work, then it's important for you to have a doggy pad inside your apartment and train them to use it.
