Well you are in luck! If you're a part of Chico rental properties then you have access to its [resident portal](https://hignellco.appfolio.com/connect/users/sign_in). But what can you do with a resident portal? ## Pay Rent Paying your rent couldn’t be any easier with the resident portal! You can sign up for a one-time payment, recurring payments, and even our new feature text-a-pay. You can review your recent payments, pending payments and balance. Imagine this: It's the 5th of the month and you just remembered that you didn’t pay your rent. Shoot! You are at work until 8 p.m. What do you do? Well if you lived in a Chico rental property then you would just hop online and sign into your resident portal. Don’t have access to your computer? Then grab your iPhone or Android and use the resident portal app that you already downloaded to pay that pesky rent. ## Maintenance Request Have a leaky toilet or see that one of the chairs by the pool is broken? You can send in a work request in your pajamas while binge watching shows like Breaking Bad or House of Cards on [Netflix](https://www.netflix.com/?locale=en-US). Who doesn’t like that type of freedom while still getting their needs met? You can even specify the needed timeline. Whether it’s an emergency or a repair that can wait a week, the resident portal is there for you. ## Contact Office Want to ask your office when the summer BBQ is or when your lease is up? Use the Contact Us feature in the portal to start conversations with us. If you just remembered your very important question at 5 o’clock in the morning, can’t find your phone to call and leave a voicemail, but don’t want to forget that very important question, hop onto your resident portal and send us a personal submission form. We'll get back to you to answer your question, comments or concerns.   ## Connect with Neighbors The tenant portal has a discussion page where you are able to contribute to the discussion board with other residents in your complex. Trying to sell a couch to make space for your new living room set? Want to share a cleaning tip that you think other neighbors would benefit from? This is the perfect place for [connecting with your neighbors](http://blog.livinginchico.com/blog/bid/314104/Get-to-Know-Your-Neighbors-Living-in-Apartments-in-Chico-California) also living in Chico rental properties.
