Living in Chico: 2016 Sidewalk Sale and Local Chico Festival

Trying to figure out somthing to do this weekend in Chico? You're in luck! The Harvest Sidewalk Sale and the You Know You’re From Chico Festival are this weekend and are great ways to enjoy the Chico sunshine while soaking in the culture and ambiance that is found downtown living in Chico.  

When and Where Will It Be?

The Harvest Sidewalk Sale is on October 7-8 (Friday and Saturday) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. This event takes place on the sidewalks of Downtown Chico and in the Downtown Plaza.  

What to Expect?

A sidewalk sale may seem obvious on what to expect, but we've included a little excerpt from the DCBA event page:

Prices are FALLing in Downtown Chico! Come RAKE in the savings and celebrate the changing of the season! Harvest Sidewalk Sale is the perfect opportunity to pick up some incredible deals and even get a jump-start on holiday shopping.

• Merchants utilize sidewalks to showcase specials
• Restaurants offer fall-themed menu items and signature dishes
• Storefronts decorated to kick off the fall season
• DCBA decorates street corners with hay bales, pumpkins, and scarecrows to create special ambiance

This year, we are partnering with the You Know You're From Chico Festival! On Saturday, October 8th, the City Plaza will be filled with vendors, activites and entertainment. Food trucks and more activities will be set up on 4th Street between Broadway and Main. Check back for more details!

How Much Is the Event?

There are no tickets required to attend the Harvest Sidewalk Sale or the YKYF Chico Festival. But if you're planning on taking advantage of the sidewalk sales make sure you bring your wallet!
