Last Minute Halloween Activities in Butte County

Did you decide that you weren't going to do anything this year then all of a sudden you or a friend or family member decided you really wanted to do something? No need to panic, it happens! 

The Chico Enterprise Record posted an article about all the activities happening around Butte County today. 

In Chico enjoy Treat Street, from 2pm-5pm today. If you have kids you'll need to accompany them for them to receive candy. 

Chico Mall’s annual Safe & Sane Halloween Trick or Treat will begin at 4 p.m. and go until the candy runs out.

Halloween Events Happening Wednesday

Oroville

  • A trick-or-treat is planned 3-5 p.m. Halloween by the Feather River Recreation and Park District at the Activity Center, 1875 Feather River Blvd.

Activities will include a spooky dance party, carnival games, popcorn trail mix station, and lots of candy.

  • Butte County Sheriff’s Office second annual Trunk or Treat Safety Fair will be 4-6:30 p.m. Halloween at the Nelson Softball Complex, 2280 Sixth St.

There’ll be candy, a pumpkin decorating contest, a family picture booth and decorated patrol cars and other public safety equipment.

  • A showing of the 1920 silent horror movie Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, starring John Barrymore, is planned at 7:30 p.m. Halloween at the historic State Theatre, 1489 Myers St. in Oroville. Dave Moreno will be playing the pipe organ to accompany the show.

Tickets in the reserved section are $15 or $12 for STAGE members. General seating is $10, or $8 for STAGE members. They are available here

Durham

  • The Spookfest Community Halloween Carnival runs 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Durham Memorial Hall, 9319 Midway. Hosted by the Durham Recreation and Park District, it includes trick-or treating, costume contest, carnival games, bounce house and cake walk.
