The 10-day weather forecast is nothing short of marvelous, which means you and your friends have the perfect opportunity to get outside of your Chico rental properties and enjoy some of the activities Chico has to offer this time of year. ## Friday Night Concert The Friday Night Concerts are held weekly from May to September in the downtown Chico City Plaza. The last one of this season is September 6th so **you still have a couple of weeks** to get your groove on. This free event offers the best in local live music in a variety of styles ranging from bluegrass to rhythm and blues. Anyone who lives in Chico rental properties near downtown can easily walk or bike on over.  ## Thursday Night Market If you’re looking for farm-fresh produce, arts and crafts, live entertainment, yummy food and an eclectic crowd, you need to visit the street-style festival of Thursday Night Market. It’s held weekly April through September in Downtown Chico. So if you want to **cook up a delicious meal in your Chico rental properties** using the best in local ingredients, do your shopping at Thursday Night Market. If you can’t make it on Thursday nights, there’s a Certified Farmer’s Market on [Saturday mornings](https://chicofarmersmarket.com) too. ## Taste of Chico Enjoy the culinary tastes Chico has to offer at this one-day food and beverage festival in Downtown Chico. Taste of Chico allows you to sample food from a variety of local restaurants. **You won’t walk away hungry**. The event will be held on Sunday, September 8th from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Purchase your tickets online today – your belly will be glad you did! To see a sneak peek of this year’s participants [click here](https://www.downtownchico.com/event-taste-of-chico_11.htm). ## Chico Palio/Artoberfest Chico Palio is the official kick-off for Artoberfest, which **celebrates art and culture in Chico and the surrounding areas**. Chico Palio will be held on Saturday, September 7th at Sycamore Field at One Mile in Bidwell Park. It’s a **free, family-friendly event** full of hands-on art activities, live performances from local musicians, and a horse sculpture race. Chico Palio is “modeled after Italy’s famous Siena Palio, one of the most prestigious and famed races in Europe. Instead of a race based on the interaction between man and beast, Chico Palio focuses on the relationship between art and friendly competition.” Businesses, organizations, neighborhoods and groups of friends create horse sculptures to “race” during the event. You could get a Chico rental properties group together and create your own Palio horse! ## Bidwell Park It doesn’t matter where in town you live in Chico rental properties **it doesn’t take long to get to [Bidwell Park](https://blog.hignellrentals.com/5-reasons-to-live-in-chico-rental-properties-near-bidwell-park)** where you can participate in all kinds of recreation. From biking and jogging, to hiking and swimming; baseball, soccer, picnics and even pony rides, it’s a beautiful time of year to be in the park. Even though the start of school marks the unofficial end to summer, there are still plenty of fun things to take advantage of while in Chico rental properties.
