While back to school activities are on the radar for many, it's still technically summer - and there will be people who are planning camping trips and traveling to adventurous places. You may be one of these people. On the other hand, not everyone loves the traveling and activity, and there are the faithful [homebodies](https://www.apartmenttherapy.com/4-terrific-habits-of-homebodies-that-anyone-can-do-218333) who stay home on the weekends to relax, or to get things done around the house.  We know that spending a lot of time in your apartment can get a little on the boring side. Especially if you have already finished the series you were binge watching on Netflix (we’ve all been there). Everyone gets in that mood where they want to do something, but they don’t particularly want to leave the comforts of home! Don’t worry though because below we have highlighted some awesome ways you can bust your **summer boredom** by taking advantage of the amenities at your apartment complex! Here are a few of the amenities you can find at your [Chico a](https://www.hignellrentals.com/)[partment](https://www.hignellrentals.com/): ## Cool Off in the Pool With every summer comes the dreaded heat and warm air, which can all be made better by a nice dip into a cool [pool](https://blog.hignellrentals.com/safety-reminder-pool-area-rules-at-your-apartment). It’s the perfect place to relax and soak up the rays.  ## Try Out the Fitness Center No need to apply to for a gym membership with your own fitness center available to you! There is everything from weights to treadmills to use in your [workout](https://www.muscleandstrength.com/workout-routines), and the best part is that after you've rinsed off, you could jump in the pool for a cool down. Using the pool for low impact workouts is also a great option for residents of all ages.  ## Relax in the Jacuzzi Although it’s hot outside, it does cool off later in the evenings and Jacuzzis (if your apartment has one) are a great place to help relax your muscles or get rid of the stress from the day. If you get too hot, just get up and jump in the pool. That should cool you off right away! ## Enjoy the Amenities! Remember that there are plenty of ways to enjoy the summer, right from the luxury of your Chico apartment.  There are several [more amenities](https://blog.hignellrentals.com/enhance-your-enjoyment-of-living-in-a-chico-apartment-with-amenities) that are available within each apartment complex, if you would like to see what they are, all you need to do is click on the complex you're interested in and scroll down! This is a great tool for current residents to explore amenities, as well as for prospective renters to get an idea of which complex is best for them.
