There are pros and cons to just about every living situation. Even if you live in a mansion, you’d have to furnish the whole entire place, not to mention the time it would take to clean it. If you live in [apartments in Chico](https://www.hignellrentals.com/) or Redding you have a lot to be thankful for. ## 1.  Amenities  Living in Chico or Redding apartments offers some great amenities that you wouldn’t necessarily have access to otherwise. Northern California can get awfully hot during the summer, but living in apartments means you always have access to a nice cool **swimming pool**. Gym memberships can be pricey, but when you have a **fitness room** a short walk away you don’t have to join a gym. You also don’t have to worry about paying for your water or garbage and most units have central HVAC and a personal washer and dryer so you don’t have to save quarters for the laundry mat. ## 2.  Maintenance Your air filter needs to be changed monthly, you’re bound to have a leaky faucet or a clogged garbage disposal at one time or another, and that electrical switch just stopped working. Instead of having to find a DIY tutorial on YouTube, you can just **call the maintenance staff** and they will come [fix your issue](http://homeguides.sfgate.com/apartment-maintenance-tips-8221.html). If you’re not the jack-of-all-trades type, you’re probably thankful for any help you can get! ## 3.  Neighbors If you haven’t met your neighbors living near you, now is the time. You’ll be grateful to have someone else keep an eye on your place when you’re away, alert you if they notice something unusual, or someone to call if there is an emergency. Getting to know your neighbors might even lead to a friendship or two. ## 4.  Small Space You might not think you’d be thankful to live in a small space, but if you live alone or just don’t have the time or desire to worry about maintaining a large space it could be ideal for you. A small space is less to clean, less to furnish, and less to get cluttered. You may have to get creative with some organizing tips, but ultimately it’s less to worry about. ## 5.  Flexibility  Sometimes life can throw you a curve ball. Maybe you lose your job and **need to quickly move** to a new town. Maybe you have a baby on the way and you **want more space**. Maybe you’re recently divorced and need a **temporary location** while you figure things out. Apartment living means you aren’t tied down by a mortgage and have more flexibility to move out quickly if you need to. ## 6.  Community When living in apartments in Chico or Redding, not only are you part of a great community within your complex, but you're part of a community that is family oriented, where people wave hello when passing by on the sidewalk. There’s always an event to go to, outdoor activities nearby, and fun local spots to try.  It might not always feel like a positive thing, but there are many benefits that apartment living has to offer. ## Looking for a Redding or Chico Apartment?
