6 Online Rental Living Sites to Visit if You Live in a Rental

Written by Hignell Rentals Team | August 27, 2021

Rental living is more than just paying your bills on time, keeping peace with your neighbors, and getting your security deposit back. It’s making your rental feel like home!

One of the best ways to do this is to browse the web and get answers to any questions you have about all things rental living. Learning what others are doing make it easier to find tips and tricks that inspire you in your own home decorating and rearranging.

Since we love to make life easier for you, we've already done the grunt work for you and found our 6 favorite places on the internet to get information and inspiration for your rental.

1.  Apartment Therapy

The mission of Apartment Therapy is “helping people make their homes more beautiful, organized and healthy by connecting them to a wealth of resources, ideas and community online.” It does just that!

You can find just about any information under the sun on ApartmentTherapy.com about DIY projects, décor, budget living, green living, small spaces, and more. Apartment Therapy believes simplicity and luxury aren’t mutually exclusive – if this is your mindset too, you should check them out!

2.  Pinterest

If you’re at all familiar with Pinterest, then you’ve probably done your fair share of pinning DIY projects you’re going try (someday) or tattoos you’re going to get (never) or what you hope your dream home will look like one day (dream away!). But have you ever thought about searching for ideas for your rental? Type “rental living” into the search bar and see what comes up! You’ll be starting new pin boards in no time.

3.  Rent.com – The Shared Wall Blog

If you want more specific information about renting, check out this blog to read articles with titles such as:

This blog is powered by Rent.com and a great resource for all things renting.

4.  MovingGuru

If you’re moving to or from rentals, this site will be your godsend. Since moving can be an overwhelming process and often something that has to be done quickly, MovingGuru will offer some much needed help. Although it won’t be able to do any heavy lifting, it can help you find moving services, calculate moving costs, suggests packing and unpacking tips, and offers all kinds of other tips and checklists.

5.  Lifehacker

Basically, as it says on its website, Lifehacker offers tips, tricks and downloads to getting things done. While it’s not focused on rental living per say, it still provides some fun, interesting ways of doing things – like making it easy to peel hard boiled eggs or learning how introverts and extroverts can co-exist. It’s a quirky, but awesome site that offers some real “duh-why-didn’t-I-think-of-that” tips.

6.  Hignell Rentals

Shameless pitch: we hope you’ll continually come back to our Hignell Rentals site, especially if you live in or are searching for rentals in The North State, to read our rental living tips on our blog and on our Rental Resource page that's full of FREE eBooks.
