Just like all of the other holidays this season, the [CDC stills suggests](https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/holidays.html) you limit your gatherings to the people you are in direct contact with on a daily basis (i.e. your roommates). Even with places being closed and the ability to throw a party with a large group of people has been squashed it doesn’t mean that this New Year's Eve celebration will be a dud.   In fact, we found 11 different ways you can spice up and enjoy your New Year’s Eve celebrations in the safety of your rental this year.  ## 1. Dress Up! 2020 has been the year of comfy sweatpants, knitted sweater sets, and day clothes that can easily turn into sleepwear. In order for it to really feel like your typical New Year’s Eve you’ll need to dress up as if you were actually going to leave the house! You can skip your comfy sets for one evening knowing it’ll help you get in the spirit of celebrating. ## 2. Actually Watch Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve Instead of just turning on the nearest T.V. at 11:58 P.M. to participate in the countdown and watch the ball drop, actually watch the show and the performances from popular artists like Miley Cyrus, Cindi Lauper, Nelly, JLo, and more. Curious what other New Year’s Eve celebrations are happening? Here’s a list of [all the different New Year’s Eve T.V. Specials](https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/tv/2020/12/30/new-years-eve-television-specials-ryan-seacrest-what-watch-2021/4062404001/). ## 5.
